Rocket Racing League

The Rocket Racing League and its highly skilled pilots will give the public an opportunity to peer into the future of motorsports.  Rocket Racers are very light weight, all composite vehicles with tremendous acceleration.  The RRL will unveil its latest capabilities and technologies as pilots perform aerobatic maneuvers while managing rocket powered flight through a sequence of boosting and gliding.  The future of racing has arrived.

F-15 Eagle

An F-15 Eagle Tactical Demonstration will be performed by Major Michael Maeder of the United States Air Force.  The F-15 is considered among the most successful modern fighters with over 100 aerial combat victories.  The F-15 center section was built right here in the city of Tulsa.

B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber

A B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber from Whiteman Air Force Base will perform nearly silent fly-bys.  The B-2 is a heavy bomber designed to penetrate dense anti-aircraft defenses and deploy both conventional and nuclear weapons.  The most expensive aircraft ever built, it is literally worth twice its weight in gold.  Be ready, or you might miss it. 

In one of the craziest acts in the air show business, Kyle Franklin will perform a comedy act in a Piper Super Cup.  Watch as a dizzy drunk steals an airplane from the air show.  This demonstration is brought to TASM by Franklin’s Flying Circus.

Some airplanes just were not meant to fly aerobatic maneuvers.  A Twin Beech 18 of the 1940s is one of those aircraft.  Nevertheless, Matt Younkin of Younkin Air Shows will change the way you think of large multiengine aircraft.

Paul Jennings
The National Champion aerobatic glider pilot lives right here in Tulsa.  Paul will fly breathtaking aerobatics without any sound.  Even without an engine, Paul can compete with the best.

The Rocket Racing League® may be the future of racing, but in 1928, the Travel Air Mystery Ship was the future of racing.  On September 2, 1929, it won first place at the Cleveland National Air Races.  For the first time in history, a civilian aircraft beat every military entry, proving that the private sector has the capacity to drive innovation.  Younkin Air Shows brings this act to TASM.

Greg Shelton and Ashley Battles are two great talents from Collinsville, Oklahoma.  Greg will perform daring maneuvers while Ashley performs outside the aircraft.  This act is brought to TASM by Greg Shelton Air Shows.

Greg Shelton of Collinsville, Oklahoma will also show off his FM-2 Wildcat.  This aircraft was made famous in WWII by destroying Japanese Zeros in the Pacific.  The FM-2 Wildcat is brought to TASM by Greg Shelton Air Shows.

The Tulsa Warbirds will take to the skys and provide high speed flybys.  Enjoy the history and tradition of Ameica’s fighting aircraft.  They include a P-51, B-25, T-28, and numerous T-6s, Stearman, and Chipmunks.
